Ryan Burkett has proven to be a valuable part of the Safelite IT Advanced Support Team.  He can always be counted on to come in early or stay late when the need arises as he always puts his customers first.  Ryan has taken on more of a role with Executive/VIP Support to rave reviews.  One of those customers recently said, ” I am glad I have Ryan to get this done, otherwise I’d probably be in tears.”  Ryan’s technical knowledge grows every day as he is thorough in his research to resolve not only his own tasks but larger issues that the team encounters.  He readily volunteers for new projects.  Ryan is a true team player that is appreciated by all.

Chris is an excellent Field Services Desktop technician currently assigned to support our tenants in the Ear & Eye Institute (EEI) and Stephanie Spielman buildings. He was selected to support this segment of our population because he demonstrated superior technical and customer service skills. During his tenure at OSUWMC Chris has served as the only hardware staff person on-site during second shift, provided east side support (University Hospitals East, CarePoint East as well as any OSUWMC facility east of I-71) and finally EEI & Stephanie Spielman.

Ed Ramzy was born in Alexandria, Egypt and grew up there. Ed started his IT career when he was 18 years old, opening one of the first Internet cafes in Alexandria, where he provided computer and network support for locals. Ed received his first Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Alexandria, in Egypt. Upon moving to the United States, Ed worked in banking and finance for a few years, and then decided to go back to school to get a degree in IT. He worked three jobs for a few years while going to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Network Administration from DeVry University. Ed owns a successful real estate business where he repairs houses and flips them. He enjoys playing pool, working on houses, and volunteering. Ed is married and lives in Westerville, Ohio.

Steve continues to be one of our strongest technicians. He consistently leads the team in cases resolved/completed and is not afraid to tackle some of the most challenging opportunities presented to our team. Steve serves as one our of senior desktop technicians providing support and guidance to all serving OSUWMC in this capacity. Steve works in an area we call the “Clinical Core” It is the center of our medical center campus and is comprised of buildings dedicated to education, research and patient care. If you work in the core you must be prepared to work on just about anything. We are a stronger, better organization because Steve is in the field.

Nick has become an integral part of the Safelite IT Advanced Support Team during his tenure.  He is the “go-to” guy for difficult issues, always working through to complete resolution.  Nick has had a very important role in the recent addition of Mac devices to Safelite’s support structure, acquiring knowledge through education and research, as well as documenting and sharing support strategies with the rest of the Desktop team and Service Desk.  Nick’s mellow and laid-back personality makes him very approachable and helps him provide an overall pleasant experience for his customers.  Always a team player, Nick is a very valuable member of the Desktop team and Safelite as a whole.

Ryan Shupe joined the Nationwide Childrens Hospital Desktop Services Team in February 2014 as an intern and quickly established himself as someone who could both build rapport with our customers and have a knack for finding solutions to their needs. Ryan was promoted to a staff job in January 2015 and immediately stepped into a challenging role supporting dozens of our off-site clinics and our surgery center. Ryan rapidly took the initiative to build relationships with key business and clinical staff in his territory and has leveraged these relationships to develop a deep understanding of the unique needs of each location.

Ryan is a graduate of DeVry with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served our country in Afghanistan. Most importantly, Ryan is also the proud father of a brand new baby girl, Kenasyn.

Ryan has been a terrific addition to our Desktop Team and is a worthy nominee for Desktop Technician of the Year
